Ms. Demeanor by Elinor Lipman

Releasing December 27th ~ Get it on Amazon Thoughts... I let loose a belly laugh two pages in. Mother Superior was shocked, disgusted, and appalled! I mean really, in this day and age having to serve house arrest is a bit much for the supposed crime committed but what happens next is a charming and amusing read. A great way to spend an evening during the holidays,. ~Tanja From the Cover... Jane Morgan is a valued member of her law firm—or was, until a prudish neighbor, binoculars poised, observes her having sex on the roof of her NYC apartment building. Police are summoned, and a punishing judge sentences her to six months of home confinement. With Jane now jobless and rootless, trapped at home, life looks bleak. Yes, her twin sister provides support and advice, but mostly of the unwelcome kind. When a doorman lets slip that Jane isn't the only resident wearing an ankle monitor, she strikes up a friendship with fellow white-collar felon Perry Salisbury. As

Book three in the Rebels with a Cause Series has blasted into the universe at the perfect time. The "brother's best friend" trope is always a winner for me. I mean, just look at this cover, it screams festive! Thank you to the beautiful people at Avon Books for gifting me a fabulous afternoon of reading. ~Tanja From the Cover... Some things are worth waiting for... Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago--an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s bu

Memory Man by David Baldacci

Out Now ~ get it on Amazon Thoughts... "Memory Man will stay with you long after the turn of the final page."  So true. That is what makes this series a perfect gift for mystery fans.  The Memory Man series is one of my favs from David Baldacci. He's an incredible storyteller and one that keeps getting better and better, ~Tanja From the Cover... Amos Decker's life changed forever--twice. The first time was on the gridiron. A big, towering athlete, he was the only person from his hometown of Burlington ever to play in the NFL. But his career ended before it had a chance to begin. On his very first play, a violent helmet-to-helmet collision knocked him off the field forever, and left him with an improbable side effect--he can forget nothing. The second time was at home nearly two decades later. Now a police detective, Decker returned from a stakeout one evening and entered a nightmare--his wife, young daughter, and brother-in-law had been murder

Home of the Heart by Carolyn Brown

I can't think of a better holiday romance lover gift to stuff in those holiday stockings than Home of the Heart by Carolyn Brown. Sweet, loving and always affirming. ~Tanja From the Cover... Allie Logan has her hands full with a bad breakup, a struggling renovation business, a sister who won’t stop flaunting her engagement ring, and a grandmother who keeps wandering off at the most inopportune times. In fact, Granny Irene’s latest habit is sneaking out to the ranch next door, where’s she’s convinced a lost love awaits. Madame Clairevoyant's Guide to the Stars by Claire Comstock-Gay

Out Now ~ Get it on Amazon Thoughts... This is a fun and informative way to look at the stars... pun intended, but also, so much more. Madame Clairevoyant's Guide to the Stars is a great stocking stuffer for friends who like to dig deeper and be more open to the universe around us.  ~Tanja From the Cover... Madame Clairevoyant’s Guide to the Stars offers a clear introduction to the basics and an innovative new framework for creatively using astrology to illuminate our lives on earth. It’s a road map to our internal world, yes, but Claire also reminds us that it’s still our job to navigate it. Combining both heavenly insights and the earthly wisdom of writers like Cheryl Strayed and Heather Havrilesky and the poetry of Patricia Lockwood and Mary Oliver, Madame Clairevoyant’s Guide to the Stars offers a fresh, profound, and fun way to look at ourselves and others, and perhaps see each more clearly. And in that way, this book is not just beautiful, but transfor

Smoke and Steel by Kristen Ashley

Releases Dec 6th ~ Get it on Amazon Hellen and Core are the most unexpected coupling, but all it took was one whistle at Fortnum’s and not only did he have Hellen, he had me as well. I love a good male character with a backstory of redemption I mean… it’s pretty much everything his MC club is about. Kristen Ashley has this beautiful way of merging the hard and soft to form this perfect amalgam. I mean, I guess that’s what the title is all about. Smoke and steel. Something soft and billowy up against something robustly hard and unmovable. A juxtaposition of opposites that make perfection. I am a forever fan of Kristen Ashley, and how she creates beautiful characters that are aged and learned as well as continuing to grow. It’s an art and KA does it so incredibly well. I love that her characters are family inside and outside of the current series. There are these wonderful Easter eggs in every book she writes. Giving her diehard fans glimpses of past stories. It’s

A Hard Day for a Hangover Darynda Jones

Releases December 6th ~ Get it on Amazon Please don’t tell me it’s over. It can’t be over. There are so many ways the series could go on! Especially when it comes to the beautiful Auri. As always, Darynda Jones delivers an incredibly thoughtful, funny, suspenseful read. Her ability to create a colorful grouping of people all mixed together makes Jones a force in the genre. I’m going to miss Sunshine Vicram, but the love between her and Levi will have me blushing every time I think about, A Hard Day For A Hangover. I’ve said this before and I’ll repeat it, reading books by Darynda Jones is like coming home. I know I’m gonna get love, laughter, sweetness, and suspense, as well as good, kind people in her characters. I want movies, I want TV shows, I want all the things!! Thank you so much for another amazing series, Mrs. Jones. ~Tanja From the Cover... A Hard Day for a Hangover is another humorous installment in Darynda Jones's wine mystery series deemed: &qu
