Half Life by Jillian Cantor

Releases March 23rd Get it on Amazon https://amzn.to/3pE8qxR Ah, the real and fictional romantic story of Marie Curie's life. I have heard of her, but never really knew much about her. Other than she is the first woman to receive two Nobel Prize awards in her field. Marie Curie is also remembered for her discovery of radium and polonium, and her huge contribution to finding treatments for cancer. It's an honor to know a woman was celebrated in the early 1900's. It was very much a male-dominated field and time. Half Life by Jillian Cantor is a "what if"  or a "what could have been' scenario. For fans of science and the people who work in it, that like a bit of fun fiction thrown in to add levity, I have no doubt you'll enjoy this read. ~Tanja From the Cover... In Poland in 1891, Marie Curie (then Marya Sklodowska) was engaged to a budding mathematician, Kazimierz Zorawski. But when his mother insisted she was too poor and not good enough, he broke off

THE ORDER by Daniel Silva

From Daniel Silva, the internationally acclaimed #1 New York Times bestselling author, comes a riveting new thriller featuring art restorer and legendary spy Gabriel Allon. It was nearly one a.m. by the time he crawled into bed. Chiara was reading a novel, oblivious to the television, which was muted. On the screen was a live shot of St. Peter’s Basilica. Gabriel raised the volume and learned that an old friend had died … Gabriel Allon has slipped quietly into Venice for a much-needed holiday with his wife and two young children. But when Pope Paul VII dies suddenly, Gabriel is summoned to Rome by the Holy Father’s loyal private secretary, Archbishop Luigi Donati. A billion Catholic faithful have been told that the pope died of a heart attack. Donati, however, has two good

Sandcastle Beach (Matchmaker Bay #3) by Jenny Holiday

Released March 9th ooooooh book friends! Hate has finally turned to love for Maya and Law!  I adore this series. Wishing for a Cowboy (Wishing River #3) by Victoria James

Released March 9th This is my first read by Victoria James and It won't be my last! I will be purchasing the previous two books in the series ASAP. I really enjoyed the author's cadence and flow in her writing style too.  As for Wishing on A Cowboy, it's a great angsty read with three characters that you root for. All three of them have had a raw deal and watching the journey of them becoming a strong unit is beautiful. What a great introduction to an author and series. Thank you to Entangled Publishing and Inslinger PR for sharing this title with me. ~Tanja From the Cover... Janie Adams has been a single parent to her nephew since he was a baby. Fifteen years later, she’s finally found out who his father might be, so the two of them travel across the country to find him. She’d do anything for this kid. But when they arrive in the small town of Wishing River, Montana, and Janie finally meets the ruggedly handsome cowboy she’d been told had abandoned his son, his shocked res

One Night with a Cowboy by Sara Richardson

Released March 9th Okay, I'm going to keep it simple. Chemistry, longing, and a whole lot of past baggage make Wes and Thea stunningly combustible when they decide to spend One Night with a Cowboy. ((wink)) What it's really about is letting go of the past to be present for your future.  I mean, it's Sara Richardson, so you can't go wrong reading anything she writes.  I loved it! ~Tanja From the Cover... Sparks fly when a handsome cowboy and a strong-willed widow must work together, in this charming contemporary western romance from a national bestselling author -- with a bonus story by Carly Bloom! Confident Women by Tori Telfer

OUT NOW! When they said swindlers, grifters, and shapeshifters of the feminine persuasion, honey, they weren't lying! I had the best time reading this book. I know it sounds weird, but to be able to discover what women have done, albeit a bit off, over the years in what usually is male behavior, that btw is praised in certain situations, is just plain fun. Absolutely brilliant! I loved every moment of it. ~Tanja From the Cover... A thoroughly entertaining and darkly humorous roundup of history’s notorious but often forgotten female con artists and their bold, outrageous scams—by the acclaimed author of Lady Killers. From Elizabeth Holmes and Anna Delvey to Frank Abagnale and Charles Ponzi, audacious scams and charismatic scammers continue to intrigue us as a culture. As Tori Telfer reveals in Confident Women, the art of the con has a long and venerable tradition, and its female practitioners are some of the best—or worst. In the 1700s in Paris, Jeanne de Saint-Rémy scammed the roy

What's Mine and Yours by Naima Coster

Released March 2nd This is my first time reading Naima Coster and I am happy to say it won't be my last. What's Mine and Yours is the stories of generations within a family filled with real and imperfect lives. It's a look into a family and how they are treated, perceived, live, and survive life. Beautifully written and poignant. ~Tanja From the Cover... From the author of Halsey Street, a sweeping novel of legacy, identity, the American family, and the ways that race affects even our most intimate relationships. A community in the Piedmont of North Carolina rises in outrage as a county initiative draws students from the largely Black east side of town into predominantly white high schools on the west. For two students, Gee and Noelle, the integration sets off a chain of events that will tie their two families together in unexpected ways over the span of the next twenty years. On one side of the integration debate is Jade, Gee's steely, ambitious mother. In the aftermat

Meet Me in Barefoot Bay by Roxanne St. Claire

It a twofer! Barefoot in the Sand AND Barefoot in the Rain. I mean, what a great find for your upcoming summer reading beach bag! Roxanne St. Claire is what I call a cornerstone author of the genre. You just know what she writes is going to be good. It's like coming home and putting on your favorite comfies.  I'm so happy to have this living on my bookshelf. ~Tanja From the Cover... Fall in love with two "lovely, lush, and layered" beach romances from a renowned New York Times bestselling author (Kristan Higgins) — together for the first time in print! Barefoot in the Sand  When a hurricane roars through Lacey Armstrong's home, she decides the rubble is a chance to finally achieve her dreams. Accidentally Engaged by Farah Heron

OUT NOW!! Accidentally Engaged kicks off with a fantastic "meet cute". Reena Manji, somewhat dutiful daughter, Bread Goddess, mother of Brian the Rye starter, and neighbor to Nadim. It's funny, crammed full of quotable quips, especially Reena's internal monologue, and just an all-around good time read. I mean, with a family like hers you need a sense of humor. If this isn't snatched up to be a Netflix or Hallmark movie I'll be surprised. This is going to be a runaway hit. ~Tanja   From the Cover... A delightful romantic comedy featuring a Muslim woman who fakes an engagement to the boy next door in the hopes of winning a couples cooking contest.  When it comes to bread, Reena Manji knows exactly what she's doing. She treats her sourdough starters like (somewhat unruly) children. But when it comes to Reena's actual family—and their constant meddling in her life—well, that recipe always ends in disaster. Now Reena's parents have found her yet anot

The Restoration of Celia Fairchild by Marie Bostwick

Released March 2nd  from William Morrow Wow, just wow. I love it when a book grabs me out of left field and holds on. It's been a few weeks since I've read The Restoration of Celia Fairchild and I haven't been able to get it out of my mind. I think it's a cross between my southern roots and the way I connected to Celia's southern surroundings and the people in it. The homespun sayings and thought processes. I can't even count how many times I gave a knowing nod, laughed out loud at the way of thinking, or the acts of expected decorum. Those that know, know.  "--it's the south. We have rules." I found The Restoration of Celia Fairchild to be a heartbreaking yet self-affirming read about people who do the best they can to see themselves in new lights, and discover that life has a way of changing not only your circumstances but the way you see yourself, who you are, and what you can do.  ~Tanja   From the Cover... Evvie Drake Starts Over meets The Fri
