A WARM HEART IN WINTER A Caldwell Christmas by J. R. Ward

Family, reconnecting, sharing joy, and love for each other. That's what Christmas and the holidays are all about. Not everyone comes from a family or a home where that happens for them. Some come from broken desolate places and are only able to find that love in the here-and-now.  A Warm Heart in Winter encompasses all that for me. It's a wonderful look into the Brotherhood during the holiday season, but it's also a look into Z and Qhuinn. How the broken can be healed with personal love, yet still have lingering issues that don't just magically disappear. It's real. It's work. It's love. I cried throughout this read. Its therapy via printed pages. Thank you to J.R. Ward for acknowledging that even with a happily ever after trauma takes time to heal and people are a forever work in progress. Mixed in the "real" are some beautifully poignant moments that make,  A Warm Heart in Winter,  a stand out in the series. Whatever holidays you celebrate, I wi

Everyone is wearing a mask to hide their true self and when someone puts themself out there and shares... well, it's impactful. Thanks, Rachel Bloom. You are a goddess. ~Tanja From the Cover... Rachel Bloom has felt abnormal and out of place her whole life. In this exploration of what she thinks makes her "different," she's come to realize that a lot of people also feel this way; even people who she otherwise thought were "normal." In a collecti

I have never been transported so quickly in time. England 1865 is where we are. Lady Katherine Bascomb is a columnist with a passion for solving mysteries. It's all very Sherlock meets Agatha Christie. Set in an era where women are seen as silly and fragile, Lady Katherine proves she is anything but. Thankfully we have a smart man that knows better.
