Justice Ascending (The Scorpius Syndrome #3) by Rebecca Zanetti

I really, really want to say that this been the best book in the series thus far. Really. I think it’s the combination of already knowing the Scorpius Syndrome world and having the back story of Trace Justice. I’ve been intrigued by him ever since he survived being infected by Scorpius. The sweet charmer from Texas has now begun to go dark, and the charismatic medic is no more. He’s more lethal, he’s more domineering, and he feels nothing. It’s a drastic change that impacts how he heals others, sees others, and deciphers intentions. Justice Ascending also feels like a long epic read. I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve missed this cast of characters or if Zanetti is transforming into a status of a truly gifted author; one who not only keeps producing fantastic works, but grows and extends herself to keep reaching for more each book she writes. It’s a crazy world that has been set on fire with the rise of contagion and a psychotic president. Each previously highlighted couple stay

Whiteout by Elyse Springer

Hello! I'm Elyse, and welcome to the blog tour for my new release, Whiteout ! This is the first book in the Seasons of Love series, and I can't wait to introduce you to Noah and Jason. About Whiteout Noah Landers wakes up one day with a headache and no memory of where—or who—he is. Jason, the man taking care of him, tries to fill in some of the blanks: they’re in a cabin in Colorado on vacation, and Noah slipped on ice and hit his head. But even with amnesia, Noah knows Jason is leaving out something important. Jason O’Reilly is sexy as hell, treats Noah like he’s precious, and seems determined to make this the romantic getaway they’d apparently dreamed of together. But Noah’s more concerned that he’s trapped alone with Jason in the middle of a blizzard while his slowly returning memories bring hints of secrets and betrayal. Noah’s not sure what’s the truth and what’s a lie.  But as he learns who he is—and who Jason is to him—he’s forced to reevaluate e

Review for Eleventh Grave in Moonlight by Darynda Jones

Tons of mystery and one heavy case load, Charley Davidson is peak perfection in book eleven! From the beginning until the very end I was caught up in her world; but let’s start from the top, shall we? Something is up with Uncle Ubie, Angel gets a little touchy feely, and Reyes? Well… he gets some steamy prime time not ready for television moments. I really did love this installment. It feels like a throwback to the earlier books. It’s more focused and albeit still funny, just not as silly as she’s been in some of the latter books– meaning that our Charlie is still fun, but not as childish as she once was. Reyes and Charley have some much needed time together in Eleventh Grave. A more focused “team” mentality is driven by the fact that Beep’s protection and security needs to come above all else. It’s time to get down to business and figure out what Charley is truly capable of. “Few things in life are as surprising as having your husband, the man you gave your heart
