Well dang, that was one hell of a crazy ride!! The Darkness of Others by Cate Holahan is filled with a mystery and a sense of overwhelming dreed. I couldn't figure out who to trust, or where this was going, but I was immeasurably invested. Holahan is assuredly becoming one of my favorite one-click authors.

Imani Banks lives in a posh Brooklyn Heights neighborhood that has just been rocked to its core. An acclaimed movie director has been murdered, and his blond trophy wife—Imani’s closest friend—is missing. Their neighbors, along with the media, jump to the conclusion that Melissa Walker has killed her husband in a fit of rage and is on the run.

Now all she has to do is prove it.

    As a medical doctor, I found "The Darkness of Others" by Cate Holahan to be a gripping psychological thriller that explores the complex interplay between mental health and social dynamics. Holahan's masterful storytelling and attention to detail make this a must-read for anyone interested in the human psyche.
