Take the Heat by Skye Warren + More

Well….. my first thoughts after reading this: Fear and debasement and kinda scary too.

This is chock full of short stories from various authors. Wicked, deadly, seductive, awful, amazing, crazy, humiliating, sick, and blissful. How often do you get to use all those words together describing a book?

Like with any anthology it can be hard to review as the stories are all so short it is hard not to give anything away. So in keeping with that I will say: some stories made me instantly want to know more about the author and their series. Others made me do a big ‘ol “HELL NO” and some just creeped me out.

Do I recommend it? Sure. Is it for everyone? Uh, no. One thing is for sure though, after reading the teaser in the back from Skye Warrens’ Prison I am on book watch for a release date.
