Turning Point (Book 3) by Tiffany Snow

Each installment just makes me want more. It takes a talented author to pull me into a book binge, and that is what’s happened to me with the Kathleen Turner series. There is no skim reading. You just can’t! You’d miss something! Each situation just flows into the next, there really are no lulls. Action, adventure, sex and high drama is what you get.

Blane, Blane, Blane. You give good swoon…

“They say pearls are the moon’s tears,” Blane said quietly. “Or that maybe they’re from angels’ wings, moving through a cloud. They’re beautiful in their purity, striking in their innocence, humbling in their integrity “Just like you,” he said simply.

I began to have a change of heart in this one; my main man had always been Blane, but when Kade began to say things like this…..

“You make me want things,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper. “Impossible things”.

And….

“I want to tell you how I knew from the moment I laid eyes on you that you were destined to be my downfall.”

This was one of the most angst-driven books in series by far. I was so disappointed in Blane and his actions. Trust that’s been lost is a hard thing to regain. Although he kicked ass in playing the hero, he just left me feeling somewhat uneasy. There are some heavy times in the book where he needed to be more present and just wasn’t. It’s like he has blinders on to certain aspects of Kathleen’s life. We are getting to see who he really is, and I am not sure he’s all good.

Kade, on the other hand, seems almost as lost as Kathleen, but DAMN he’s sexy. The one liners and comments that came out of his mouth left me grinning from ear to ear. Getting more of his back-story also added to his mystery and charm.

The human trafficking storyline was agonizing. I think it will forever change Kathleen, who she is, and how she views the world. She’s not as naive as she once was, and it’s sad to see her changing as reality truly sets in.

I am SO happy that I was graciously given the ARC of book 4 OUT OF TURN, because I was left absolutely blindsided at the end. (Evil, Tiffany Snow, just evil) LOL!

Another 5 STARS - what can I say? I can’t get enough.

After her promotion from law firm Runner to Investigator, Kathleen Turner is learning the ropes of her new job from none other than assassin-for-hire Kade Dennon, a situation her boyfriend Blane Kirk is none too happy about. But the lessons with Kathleen take a back seat when Kade becomes a target. Previously untouchable, his enemies now know of the chink in his armor – his brother’s girlfriend.

And Kade’s not the only thing coming between Kathleen and Blane. From Blane's inexplicable defense of a man guilty of a horrible crime, to a mysterious stranger from Kathleen's past, to Kathleen' risky investigation into human traffickers, the obstacles mount against a relationship that's just begun to find trust again.

While Blane considers a job offer that would take him back to the front lines in the war on terror, Kathleen is determined to pursue her new career, with or without his approval. Unfortunately, her current case is far more dangerous than anyone knows. Someone close to Blane will go to extreme lengths to split them up, lengths that may prove worse than death for Kathleen.

Kathleen, Blane and Kade must atone for the sins of the past and the present. The fallout will force Kathleen to a turning point...in her career, and her life.
