Mike’s problems are also caused by the fact that he’s such a great guy and overextends his heart, and his appointment calendar, to every constituent, friend, or stray animal who crosses his path.
Tracy is also being stressed by a TV reality show intent on showcasing Tracy and Mike’s personal life, as well as the imminent takeover of her employer, a small, private television station, by a billionaire with unlimited funds and no taste.
Dating Cary Grant considers just how selfless a man needs to be to meet his wife’s expectations, and just how honest a woman must be with herself about what she’s willing to give, and give-up. And Cary Grant is along to help prove that any woman’s search for ‘Mr. Perfect ‘ might take her to a surprising place to find him.

If I'm ever haunted by a ghost I can only hope and pray that it would be Cary Grant!! One can dream right?? That is what intrigued me most about picking up this particular romance... I like to dive into something a little different every now and then.
Even though I love the idea of the story, I can't say that I particularly liked the leading lady or her husband Mike. These two and their self absorbed ways was a bit difficult or me to wrap my head around. Neither one of them wanting to give up their careers led to Tracy moving to New York to live in an old small apartment so she would no longer have to commute. An apartment that has no phone reception and no way to install a landline. But, it does have a handsome resident who goes by the name Phillip... (aka) our resident ghost! Tracy becomes somewhat infatuated with the handsome man who makes her feel like a desirable woman.
This is a romance that revolves heavily around the old movies from the past... it's not a steamy romance but instead plays on our ideas of the kind of man that would be our own... "Mr. Perfect". For Tracy that was Cary Grant...
This was a good solid read... not for all romance fans... but, might appeal mostly to those who spend a lot of time with their head into the old romance icons of the past. I liked it but I didn't love it... but, only because I was having trouble coping with our wishy washy heroine and husband and their constant inability to communicate with each other and make compromises. I was pleased with the ending BUT it was a frustrating journey! But, maybe that was the point.. :)
