*Spin (Songs of Corruption, #1) by C.D. Reiss

SO FREAKING GOOD. Reiss writes the most amazing book crack! Let’s see, I began reading after climbing in bed, and when I shut off my ipad off it was 2:30 in the morning, people! Yes, my friends, total book crack! Reiss did this to me before with the Songs of Submission series.

Theresa and Spin are combustible magic from the very start. It’s gritty with a side of funny- an odd combo that is oh-so-good. Theresa has been in the trenches of political campaigns with her DA ex and now she feels lost. Unsure of where she is emotionally and is missing the comfortableness of a relationship, Theresa finds a spark in Antonio Spinelli.

I fell for Spin quickly too. The accent, wit, and smoothness he possesses are so swoon-worthy. He is enamored by the lovely “contessa” and will do almost anything to get her.

They walk a fine line of “made men” and political gain, but when the heart is involved will they risk it all to stay together? No spoiler from me peeps. It’s just oh so good to follow along and see where they go. Like I said - AMAZING CRACK!

Antonio Spinelli blew through my orderly life like a cyclone.

Gorgeous and passionate, with a breathtaking brutality, he put me under his spell the moment he touched me, drawing me into his underworld of risk, violence and betrayal.

And I found, just as this sophisticated savage didn’t trust me, I didn’t trust myself. Something happened to me. Some alchemy from the heat between us.
