~Summer Q&A with Debbie Mason~
Favorite book set at the beach?
Too many to choose from, so I’ll go with the one I’m currently reading—Beach House Reunion by Mary Alice Monroe. I’ve just started but so far I’m loving it as much as I do all of her books.
Is there a subgenre or trope that you have never written but would like to?
Yes. I have a half-written young adult novel in my desk drawer that I’d like to complete, and I have an idea for a romantic suspense series I’ve been wanting to write for years.
What is your all-time favorite summer tune?
I’m sure you’re not surprised that I can’t pick just one. “Summer Breeze” by Seals and Crofts, “Summer Nights” by John Travolta and Olivia Newton John, “Summer of 69” by Bryan Adams, and “Come Sail Away” by Styx.
What is your best summer memory?
I’ll let you in on a secret, my wedding isn’t my favorite or best summer memory. Shocking, I know. But the man I married that day is the reason I have so many wonderful summer memories to choose from. My favorites include us and our three kids, and now their significant others and the grandkids.
If you could choose a vacation destination for the couple in your new book, where would it be and why?
Provence. Because I want to go with them and Logan knows the area. He was stationed in France for several years.
