Author Spotlight ~Tiffany Snow~

Tiffany Snow was born in St. Charles, Missouri, where she developed a fondness for trivia games, the music of Elvis Presley, and romance novels. After earning two bachelor’s degrees—one in social studies education and the other in history—she went on to work in the information technology field. Now, the author of the popular Kathleen Turner Series writes full-time, when she’s not quoting When Harry Met Sally or dancing along to her favorite ’80s hair band. She resides in the Midwest with her husband of eighteen years and their two daughters.

Q & A with Tiffany Snow

What do you want people to know about you and your process?

I don't really view myself as an artistic person. The one thing I do that belies this is that about 1/3 of the way through a book, I'll settle on where in the house I will finish writing it. And I don't budge from writing in that spot. I've written books all throughout my house in different seats. My last manuscript was written in my bedroom, on my bed. I even had to ask my husband to sleep on the couch a few times when I was near deadline just so I could keep working.

When did you know writing was what you wanted/needed to do?

When I got so frustrated reading the Stephanie Plum series. I decided I wanted to write a five book series featuring a love triangle that ended the way I wanted it to. The Kathleen Turner Series was born from that.

Will we see any new works from you soon? What will they be?

I'm working on book four in my Corrupted Hearts Series. Book three, FIND ME, will be out in September.

Will you be attending any signings or conventions? Where and when?

Yes, I'll be at the Barbara Vey Luncheon in Milwaukee at the end of April. I'll also be at RT but am not signing this year.

My kitty cat. I just call her Cat. She's a rescue and we love her so much.
She's a talker and loves to snuggle.

My dog, Charlie, snoozing with Cat while I work.

Charlie, "helping" me work.

My two beautiful daughters, Erica and Savannah, ages 16 and 12.

Me fangirling over Eloisa James. I first met her at Barbara Vey and was fortunate enough to get to sit by her at the author dinner. She's so gracious and kind. Conversation at the table turned to everyone's books and we began exchanging cards. Eloisa suddenly days to me, "Turn to Me is doing well." I looked over and she had her kindle app open on her phone. I stared in stunned amazement. She had all of my books on her kindle. Dumbly, I said, "You have all my books." She said, "Oh yes, when I like a book, I buy the whole backlist." To my utter embarrassment, I started to tear up. I turned away, hoping to hide my tears, but the whole table grew silent. Another author said, "I just want to come and hug you right now.". Lol. It was an overwhelming moment for me to have someone I'd read and admired four years be reading one of my own books.

That time when EL James photobombed me. Lol. This was actually the start of me pointing at things behind me in photos.

In D.C.

Downton Abby

The Cliffs of Mohr in Ireland

Tower Bridge in London. Going to the UK has always been a dream of mine. The first time I got to go last year, I kept bursting into tears at random times. Lol. Outside parliament, at my first castle, at the sight of Big Ben. It was amazing. I'd love to live in Scotland, if I could.

I meet Ian Somerhalder of Vampire Diaries fame at a convention. The character of Kade Dennon in my Kathleen Turner Series was greatly inspired by Ian's portrayal of Damon Salvatore, which is what I told him.

Paul was set to pretend to read my book POINT OF NO RETURN while Ian held a Team Kade sign. Ian also was gracious to take selfies with the eight of us who had won an auction for a meet and greet.

Writing is a lonesome profession, so when authors get together, we have a blast catching up with each other. Here are some pics with author friends who help keep me sane. Well, they try. And there MAY be a prevalence of wine in these pics
