Bone Deep (No Mercy, #3) by Lea Griffith
Bone
Deep
is heartbreaking and absolutely captivating, as is the character that this book
is named after. It is with a poet’s hand that Lea Griffith puts pen to paper.
“The night split open
above her, the black fading to gray and slowly the gray to pink. Fingers of
orange sifted through the clouds like a mother stroking her child’s hair. The
colors bit deep into her mind, but as the darkness exhaled and gave up its
breath to light, all Bone knew was a pin-pricked numbness, and it was beautiful.”
Bone,
Bone Breaker, is beautifully broken in perfect imperfection. Her story will
break your heart just as all her sisters before her have. First Team is nearing
the end of their mission...or, at least they’re hoping that they are. All in
the name of Ninka, a sister lost too young; one that has bound them together
and fuels their fire for revenge, redemption, and retribution. They will have
it at any cost.
However,
what Bone didn’t count on was the effects the Russian-born Dmitry would have on
her. Her “pass” comes to haunt her in the most confusing and delicious ways. He
is on his own path of revenge. It’s the smell of sugared apricots that tempts
him and has him rethinking and changing his plans. Will he be able to break the
unbreakable: the walls built to keep her safe?
Over
all, Bone Deep is action packed with twists and turns that will have you
turning pages with break-neck speed. So much of the past is revealed in book
three of the No Mercy Series that
fans are gonna get a true understanding into what drives these women.
The
romance differs from the previous books, and the focus is more pinpointed on
women of First Team and less on the men in their lives. These are all moves in
the right direction if you ask me. I am a massive fan of the series and hate
that we must wait for the next installment.
It’s
a solid bone breaking 5 star read!

Her
tears will never reach Heaven.
She was formed of the earth and time has hardened her into stone. To her marrow Bone is the coldest of killers. She is the only one of First Team who lusts for death. Yet even a killer’s heart can bleed.
He has never wept for his greatest loss.
Dmitry Asinimov knows well what it is to lose the ones you love. Nothing is thicker than blood, nothing. He has hidden his pain but never has he stopped searching for vengeance. Now he’s close to answers but first he must break the woman whose eyes whisper of pain and whose strength is unlike anything he’s ever known.
Bone and blood. Two sides of one coin. Retribution draws them together but before all is said and done they will learn love can either break you or make you stronger.

Lea
Griffith began sneaking to read her mother’s romance novels at a very
young age. She cut her teeth on the greats: McNaught, Woodiwiss and
Garwood. As she got older, her need to devour all genres of
romance–including contemporary, paranormal and sci/fi–grew. Any romance
novels she couldn’t buy were borrowed or traded in her quest to read
about that elemental emotion that keeps us strong: love. She still has
most of those books; dog-eared, their pages yellowed with age, they
still bring her joy.
Lea lives
with her husband and three teenage daughters in rural Georgia and she
writes her own stories now. With two dogs, a cat and a beta fish named
Coddy George, there is never a dull moment. When she’s not working her
day job you can usually find Lea at her keyboard, using every spare
second to write. Shifters, artificial intelligence, and gene splicing,
oh my! Nothing is off-limits when it comes to her writing.
