Luck of the Dragon by Susannah Scott

4 stars****
I really liked this story. It's a fun, easy and quick read about dragons making a home in a casino in Las Vegas. Anything goes in Las Vegas so it's a perfect setting for them to live and hide in their human form. The dragons are shrinking in numbers and they are preparing for their traditional mating ceremony in the hopes that as many of them as possible will find their mates. Alex, the leader of the dragons is losing his dragon form. If he doesn't find his mate he will lose his ability to change to a dragon forever.
Alex and Lucy are brought together through her expertise in jewels and his need to have all of his precious gems valued. What he didn't expect was to be dealing with a jewel thief or having to accept that a human woman was possibly the mate he has been waiting for.
This book is for those paranormal fans who are looking for a quick and easy read but at the same time engaging. I enjoyed most of the characters in the book and it would be nice to re-visit some of them again. I would've liked for the fight scenes between the dragons to have been longer... they were a bit too short and sweet. Almost over before they even began. And, with a little more development of the dragon world I could definitely see potential for this to become an interesting series to follow. Yes... I would recommend!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
