 T's Review

“For all the times I’d witnessed the murders of other women in my dreams, I’d failed to see my own.”

Enter into the mind of a psychic as she realizes she is now part of the dream world that foretells the future. It’s a gripping place to be within the first few pages of Epiphany. A bartender and secretive psychic Mackenzie has run away from problems and her past to start over. Mackenzie is weary and not in the mood to indulge her friend and neighbor to party and pick up guys. She has been under a siege for horrifying dreams. Dreams filled with the rape, torture and murder of women.

Deciding this is means enough to tie one on Mackenzie over indulges only to toss her cookies on a man she has seen before. Only they have never met in the waking world. She has dreamed of him for years in the most sensual ways.

Aidan is tied to these murders. But in what way and will Mackenzie be safe with Aiden or just another victim? I really enjoyed this book! Give it a go.

4 Stars for a murder/mystery with a New Adult feel.

“I had my first psychic dream when I was nine. Psychic implied power, and powerful wasn’t a word I’d use to describe myself. I couldn’t foretell the future or conjure visions at will, but I couldn’t think of a more fitting word to describe what I sometimes saw in my dreams.”

For 23-year-old Mackenzie Hill, tossing her life down the garbage disposal is easy after a painful incident shatters her life. Her heart is bleeding, and moving to Watcher’s Point is a chance to start anew, only she isn’t prepared for the guy who walks out of her dreams and into the flesh. Literally . . . because she’s been dreaming about this sexy stranger for years.
Mackenzie is even less prepared to face the dark nature of her dreams. They’ve turned disturbingly gruesome, full of blood and murder, and when they begin to coincide with the media’s headlines, she and Aidan realize her visions might be the key to stopping a madman from killing again.
Only Aidan has painful secrets of his own, and perhaps the biggest danger of all is falling for him.

In this excerpt, we're in the middle of one of Mac's dreams:
Aidan’s eyes overflowed, drops of despair drenching his face, creeping past unshaven cheeks. He flipped open the card, read the words I wasn’t able to decipher, and then fled the house.

I flew overhead, my invisible string carrying me along as he sped down the highway. He must have been doing ninety, maybe more. The darkening foothills grew larger as we spanned the distance. He pulled off the road and came to a screeching stop, and the door was left open in his haste to take off running. Every so often he halted long enough to glance down at the card. Whatever was written there must have led him here, to this place in the middle of nowhere.

By the time brush gave way to spotted trees, the sun had disappeared from the sky. Aidan didn’t have a flashlight, though the oversight didn’t slow him down. He kept moving, stepping over rocky terrain, climbing higher, lower, and higher still. I tasted his fear, almost choked on it. I wanted to pull him back and embrace him, tell him not to go any further.

I knew what he was going to find.

Christina Jean Michaels was born in Paradise, California, but she has foundthe true home of her heart in Eugene, Oregon where she finds plenty of inspiration for storytelling.

When she was young, her mother said she hated words. Now she can't imagine not writing. She became an avid reader when she was thirteen and discovered the world of Sweet Valley High. About a year later she realized she could play God and write about her own characters. She has been writing in some form ever since.

She lives with her husband and their four children—three rambunctious UFC/wrestling-loving boys and one girl who steals everyone’s attention.
